How does registration work? Does it cost anything?

Registration is always free. As a seller, you need to be registered to manage your account.

The site can be freely browsed by anyone. Potential buyers who wish to contact sellers must be registered to do so. This helps to ensure higher quality inquiries from truly interested parties.


How Do I Place An Ad?

You need to have an account with NauticalTrader.com. If you haven’t set this up alredy, REGISTER HERE. Please note, as part of the registration process, you will receive an account activation email, and you must click on the activation link in order to be able to log in for the first time.

  1. Log in with your user name and password
  2. Click on "Add A Listing"
  3. Choose your Subcategory
  4. Complete the Ad Form
  5. Upload your photos if you selected a photo package
  6. That’s it - you’re done!

What file types and sizes can be used for photos?

JPG and PNG are recommended for maximum quality. You can also use BMP and GIF files.

What size should my photos be?

Maximum photo WIDTH ix 600px and maximum photo HEIGHT is 600px. Photos should be 72dpi and files larger 1MB will not be accepted.

Can I modify my listing?

Of course! Simply log into you account and make the text and photo changes you wish. You can also delete your ad at any time.

I sold my item, what should I do?

Log in to your account and delete your ad.

Why can’t I log in?

All new accounts require activation through an email link. Please be sure and check your email for this link. If you still cannot log in, please contact support@nauticaltrader.com

What payment methods do you accept?

Paypal handles all our payment processing, and accepts all major payment methods.

How much do ads cost?

How do I get to be listed in Featured Listings?


Feature Listing is an upgrade option. The current pricing is $4.99 for for the length of your ad.

What happens when my ad expires?

NauticalTrader.com automatically emails you a reminder 7 days prior to your ad expiration. You can log in to your account and renew, upgrade, or change your ad at an time prior to expiration.

I have a problem with a buyer or seller, will you help?
We’re sorry, we can’t. Our support is limited to the overall function and management of the website, classified ads, and your account functionality. Any issues need to be worked out directly between the buyer and seller. We would like you to notify us of any problems. We do have the ability to manage users of the system, and will take appropriate steps, includng banning members and their IP addresses.
